Utkal Co-oerative Bank Ltd.

IN THESE BYE-LAWS UNLESS THE CONTEXT OTHERWISE REQUIRES.

"The Act" means the Odisha Co-operative Societies Act as amended from time to time.
"The Bye-Laws" the Bye-Laws of the Bank.
"The Board" means the Board of Directors of the Bank.
"The Government" means the Government of Odisha.
The General Body Meeting means the meeting of the members of the Society held under the provision of the Odisha Co-operative Societies Act and "Rules/Bye Laws of the Society.
"The Head Office" means the registered office of the Society located at Bhubaneswar.
"The Branch Office" means the branches of the Society functioning in accordance with the Bye-Laws and within the area of operation of the Society.
"Member" means shareholder of the Society admitted under the provision of the Bye-Laws.
"The Society" means the Utkal Co-operative Banking Society Ltd., Bhubaneswar. At Present The Utkal Co-operative Bank Ltd.
"The Rules" means the rules framed in accordance with the provisions of Odisha Co-operative Societies Act. 1962.
‘The year’ means the Co-operative year beginning from the first day of the month of April and ending on the next 31st day of March.
‘Words and expression not specifically defined for in the Bye-Laws which bear the same meaning as defined in the Act. And Rules.
